حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الصَّبَّاحِ أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ ابْنِ أَبِي خَالِدٍ عَنْ الشَّعْبِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي مَرْحَبٍأَنَّ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ عَوْفٍ نَزَلَ فِي قَبْرِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ كَأَنِّي أَنْظُرُ إِلَيْهِمْ أَرْبَعَةً
English Translation
Telah menceritakan kepada kami [Muhammad bin Ash Shabbah], telah mengabarkan kepada kami [Sufyan] dari [Ibnu Abu Khalid] dari [Asy Sya'bi] dari [Abu Marhab] bahwa Abdurrahman bin 'Auf turun ke kuburan Nabi shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam. Abu Marhab berkata; aku melihat mereka berjumlah empat orang.

Imam Abu Dawud compiled Sunan Abu Dawud from approximately 500,000 hadiths, selecting 5,274. His collection is particularly focused on fiqh (Islamic jurisprudence) and legal rulings. He personally wrote to Imam Ahmad ibn Hanbal informing him of the work, and received his approval.
Abu Dawud said: 'I wrote 500,000 hadiths of the Prophet ﷺ, then selected this book from them.' He focused especially on rulings related to halal and haram.
