حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ زِيَادٍ سَبَلَانَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبَّادُ بْنُ عَبَّادٍ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَحَبُّ الْأَسْمَاءِ إِلَى اللَّهِ تَعَالَى عَبْدُ اللَّهِ وَعَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ
English Translation
Telah menceritakan kepada kami [Ibrahim bin Ziyad Sabalan] berkata, telah menceritakan kepada kami [Abbad bin Abbad] dari [Ubaidullah] dari [Nafi'] dari [Ibnu Umar] ia berkata, "Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam bersabda: "Nama yang paling disukai oleh Allah adalah Abdullah dan 'Abdurrahman."

Imam Abu Dawud compiled Sunan Abu Dawud from approximately 500,000 hadiths, selecting 5,274. His collection is particularly focused on fiqh (Islamic jurisprudence) and legal rulings. He personally wrote to Imam Ahmad ibn Hanbal informing him of the work, and received his approval.
Abu Dawud said: 'I wrote 500,000 hadiths of the Prophet ﷺ, then selected this book from them.' He focused especially on rulings related to halal and haram.
