حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْأَحْوَصِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مَنْصُورٌ عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَذُكِرَ عِنْدَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَجُلٌ فَقِيلَ مَا زَالَ نَائِمًا حَتَّى أَصْبَحَ مَا قَامَ إِلَى الصَّلَاةِ فَقَالَ بَالَ الشَّيْطَانُ فِي أُذُنِهِ
English Translation
Telah menceritakan kepada kami [Musaddad] berkata, telah menceritakan kepada kami [Abu Al Ahwash] berkata, telah menceritakan kepada kami [Manshur] dari [Abu Wa'il] dari ['Abdullah radliallahu 'anhu] berkata: Diceritakan kepada Nabi shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam tentang seseorang yang dia terus tertidur sampai pagi hari hingga tidak mengerjakan shalat. Maka Beliau shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam bersabda: "Syaitan telah mengencingi orang itu pada telinganya".

Imam al-Bukhari dedicated 16 years to compiling Sahih al-Bukhari, selecting approximately 7,275 hadiths from over 600,000 narrations he examined. His strict conditions for accepting a hadith — requiring narrator continuity, reliable memory, and confirmed meeting between narrators — make it the most rigorously authenticated hadith collection in Islamic scholarship.
Imam al-Bukhari would perform ghusl and pray two rak'ahs before recording each hadith. Sahih al-Bukhari is universally regarded as the most authentic book after the Quran.
