حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَلَامٍ أَخْبَرَنَا الْفَزَارِيُّ عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ الطَّوِيلِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي ثَابِتٌ عَنْ أَنَسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُأَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَأَى شَيْخًا يُهَادَى بَيْنَ ابْنَيْهِ قَالَ مَا بَالُ هَذَا قَالُوا نَذَرَ أَنْ يَمْشِيَ قَالَ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَنْ تَعْذِيبِ هَذَا نَفْسَهُ لَغَنِيٌّ وَأَمَرَهُ أَنْ يَرْكَبَ
English Translation
Telah menceritakan kepada kami [Muhammad bin Salam] telah mengabarkan kepada kami [Al Fazariy] dari [Humaid Ath-Thowil] berkata, telah menceritakan kepada saya [Tsabit] dari [Anas radliallahu 'anhu] bahwa Nabi shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam melihat seorang tua renta yang dipapah oleh kedua anaknya, maka Beliau bertanya: "Mengapa orang ini berbuat seperti ini?". Mereka menjawab: "Dia telah bernadzar untuk berjalan kaki (menuju Makkah) ". Maka Beliau berkata: "Allah tidak membutuhkan orang ini untuk menyiksa dirinya". Maka Beliau memerintahkan orang itu naik tunggangan.

Imam al-Bukhari dedicated 16 years to compiling Sahih al-Bukhari, selecting approximately 7,275 hadiths from over 600,000 narrations he examined. His strict conditions for accepting a hadith — requiring narrator continuity, reliable memory, and confirmed meeting between narrators — make it the most rigorously authenticated hadith collection in Islamic scholarship.
Imam al-Bukhari would perform ghusl and pray two rak'ahs before recording each hadith. Sahih al-Bukhari is universally regarded as the most authentic book after the Quran.
