حَدَّثَنِي إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ هُوَ الْأَزْرَقُ عَنْ مِسْعَرِ بْنِ كِدَامٍ عَنْ هِلَالٍ الْوَزَّانِ عَنْ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا قَالَتْمَا أَكَلَ آلُ مُحَمَّدٍ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَكْلَتَيْنِ فِي يَوْمٍ إِلَّا إِحْدَاهُمَا تَمْرٌ
English Translation
Telah menceritakan kepadaku [Ishaq bin Ibrahim bin Abdurrahman] telah menceritakan kepada kami [Ishaq] yaitu Al Azraq dari [Mis'ar bin Kidam] dari [Hilal Al Wazzan] dari ['Urwah] dari [Aisyah] radliallahu 'anha dia berkata; "Keluarga Muhammad tidak pernah makan hingga dua kali dalam sehari melainkan salah satunya dengan makan kurma."

Imam al-Bukhari dedicated 16 years to compiling Sahih al-Bukhari, selecting approximately 7,275 hadiths from over 600,000 narrations he examined. His strict conditions for accepting a hadith — requiring narrator continuity, reliable memory, and confirmed meeting between narrators — make it the most rigorously authenticated hadith collection in Islamic scholarship.
Imam al-Bukhari would perform ghusl and pray two rak'ahs before recording each hadith. Sahih al-Bukhari is universally regarded as the most authentic book after the Quran.
