حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَعِيلُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الطَّلْحِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ خِرَاشٍ الْحَوْشَبِيُّ عَنْ الْعَوَّامِ بْنِ حَوْشَبٍ عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَلَمَّا أَسْلَمَ عُمَرُ نَزَلَ جِبْرِيلُ فَقَالَ يَا مُحَمَّدُ لَقَدْ اسْتَبْشَرَ أَهْلُ السَّمَاءِ بِإِسْلَامِ عُمَرَ
English Translation
Telah menceritakan kepada kami [Isma'il bin Muhammad Ath Thalhi] berkata, telah menceritakan kepada kami [Abdullah bin Khirasy Al Hausyabi] dari [Al 'Awwam bin Hausyab] dari [Mujahid] dari [Ibnu Abbas] ia berkata; " Tatkala Umar masuk Islam, Jibril turun seraya berkata: "Wahai Muhammad, penduduk langit telah berbahagia dengan keIslaman Umar."

Imam Ibn Majah compiled the last of the six major hadith collections (Kutub al-Sittah). He travelled widely to collect hadiths — through Iraq, Basra, Syria, Egypt, and Arabia. His collection contains unique narrations not found in the other five collections, though scholars note some weaker chains.
Ibn Majah's collection was later added to the Kutub al-Sittah by Imam al-Maqdisi. It contains approximately 4,341 hadiths including narrations unique to this collection.
