أَخْبَرَنَا يُونُسُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْأَعْلَى قَالَ أَنْبَأَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو هَانِئٍ الْخَوْلَانِيُّ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْحُبُلِيَّ يَقُولُ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِأَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ فِرَاشٌ لِلرَّجُلِ وَفِرَاشٌ لِأَهْلِهِ وَالثَّالِثُ لِلضَّيْفِ وَالرَّابِعُ لِلشَّيْطَانِ
English Translation
Telah mengabarkan kepada kami [Yunus bin Abdul A'la], ia berkata; telah memberitakan kepada kami [Ibnu Wahb], ia berkata; telah memberitakan kepadaku [Abu Hani` Al Khaulani] bahwa ia mendengar [Abu Abdur Rahman Al Hubuli] berkata dari [Jabir bin Abdullah] bahwa Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam bersabda: "Satu kasur untuk seorang laki-laki, dan satu kasur untuk isterinya dan yang ketiga untuk tamu serta yang keempat adalah untuk setan."

Imam an-Nasa'i applied the strictest conditions of all Sunan compilers. He first wrote a larger collection (as-Sunan al-Kubra) then condensed it into al-Mujtaba. He was particularly rigorous in identifying weaknesses in narrator chains, resulting in a collection of very high reliability.
An-Nasa'i's conditions for accepting narrators were stricter than those of Abu Dawud and at-Tirmidhi, making al-Mujtaba one of the most critically refined of the Sunan collections.
