﴾ 49 ﴿وَإِن كَانُوا۟ مِن قَبْلِ أَن يُنَزَّلَ عَلَيْهِم مِّن قَبْلِهِۦ لَمُبْلِسِينَ
English Translation (Muhammad Asad)
even though a short while ago, [just] before it was sent down upon them, they had abandoned all hope!
