حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْأَعْلَى بْنُ حَمَّادٍ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ الْمِسْوَرِ بْنِ مَخْرَمَةَ وَمَرْوَانُ بْنُ الْحَكَمِ أَنَّهُمَا قَالَاخَرَجَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَامَ الْحُدَيْبِيَةِ فَلَمَّا كَانَ بِذِي الُحُلَيْفَةِ قَلَّدَ الْهَدْيَ وَأَشْعَرَهُ وَأَحْرَمَ
English Translation
Telah menceritakan kepada Kami [Abdul A'la bin Hammad], telah menceritakan kepada Kami [Sufyan bin 'Uyainah] dari [Az Zuhri] dari ['Urwah] dari [Al Miswar bin Makhramah] serta [Marwan bin Al Hakam], bahwa mereka berdua berkata; Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam keluar pada tahun Hudaibiyah, tatkala beliau telah sampai di Dzul Hulaifah beliau mengalungi hewan kurbannya dan melukainya serta berihram.

Imam Abu Dawud compiled Sunan Abu Dawud from approximately 500,000 hadiths, selecting 5,274. His collection is particularly focused on fiqh (Islamic jurisprudence) and legal rulings. He personally wrote to Imam Ahmad ibn Hanbal informing him of the work, and received his approval.
Abu Dawud said: 'I wrote 500,000 hadiths of the Prophet ﷺ, then selected this book from them.' He focused especially on rulings related to halal and haram.
