    حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الرَّازِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا سَلَمَةُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ الْفَضْلِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَقَ حَدَّثَنِي يَزِيدُ بْنُ رُومَانَ عَنْ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْلَمَّا مَاتَ النَّجَاشِيُّ كُنَّا نَتَحَدَّثُ أَنَّهُ لَا يَزَالُ يُرَى عَلَى قَبْرِهِ نُورٌ

    English Translation

    Telah menceritakan kepada kami [Muhammad bin 'Amr Ar Razi], telah menceritakan kepada kami [Salamah bin Al Fadhl], dari [Muhammad bin Ishaq], telah menceritakan kepadaku [Yazid bin Ruman], dari ['Urwah] dari [Aisyah], ia berkata; tatkala An Najasyi meninggal kami bercerita bahwa terus terlihat cahaya di atas kuburannya.

    Imam Abu Dawud compiled Sunan Abu Dawud from approximately 500,000 hadiths, selecting 5,274. His collection is particularly focused on fiqh (Islamic jurisprudence) and legal rulings. He personally wrote to Imam Ahmad ibn Hanbal informing him of the work, and received his approval.

    Abu Dawud said: 'I wrote 500,000 hadiths of the Prophet ﷺ, then selected this book from them.' He focused especially on rulings related to halal and haram.
