حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مُوسَى الرَّازِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ حَدَّثَنِي عُمَرُ بْنُ رُؤْبَةَ التَّغْلِبِيُّ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْوَاحِدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ النَّصْرِيِّ عَنْ وَاثِلَةَ بْنِ الْأَسْقَعِعَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ الْمَرْأَةُ تُحْرِزُ ثَلَاثَةَ مَوَارِيثَ عَتِيقَهَا وَلَقِيطَهَا وَوَلَدَهَا الَّذِي لَاعَنَتْ عَنْهُ
English Translation
Telah menceritakan kepada kami [Ibrahim bin Musa Ar Razi], telah menceritakan kepada kami [Muhammad bin Harb], telah menceritakan kepadaku [Umar bin Ru`bah At Taghlibi], dari [Abdul Wahid bin Abdullah An Nashri], dari [Watsilah bin Al Asqa'] dari Nabi shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam beliau bersabda: "Seorang wanita menjaga tiga orang yang mewarisi; budak yang ia bebaskan, anak temuannya, dan anaknya yang karenanya ia melakukan li'an."

Imam Abu Dawud compiled Sunan Abu Dawud from approximately 500,000 hadiths, selecting 5,274. His collection is particularly focused on fiqh (Islamic jurisprudence) and legal rulings. He personally wrote to Imam Ahmad ibn Hanbal informing him of the work, and received his approval.
Abu Dawud said: 'I wrote 500,000 hadiths of the Prophet ﷺ, then selected this book from them.' He focused especially on rulings related to halal and haram.
