حَدَّثَنَا نَصْرُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أَحْمَدَ أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْكَانَتْ صَفِيَّةُ مِنْ الصَّفِيِّ
English Translation
Telah menceritakan kepada kami [Nashr bin Ali], telah menceritakan kepada kami [Abu Ahmad], telah mengabarkan kepada kami [Sufyan] dari [Hisyam bin 'Urwah], dari [ayahnya], dari [Aisyah], ia berkata; Shafiyyah termasuk bagian khusus (untuk Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam).

Imam Abu Dawud compiled Sunan Abu Dawud from approximately 500,000 hadiths, selecting 5,274. His collection is particularly focused on fiqh (Islamic jurisprudence) and legal rulings. He personally wrote to Imam Ahmad ibn Hanbal informing him of the work, and received his approval.
Abu Dawud said: 'I wrote 500,000 hadiths of the Prophet ﷺ, then selected this book from them.' He focused especially on rulings related to halal and haram.
