حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ حَدَّثَنِي ابْنُ وَهْبٍ حَدَّثَنِي هِشَامُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ عَنْ حَاتِمِ بْنِ أَبِي نَصْرٍ عَنْ عُبَادَةَ بْنِ نُسَيٍّ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عُبَادَةَ بْنِ الصَّامِتِعَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ خَيْرُ الْكَفَنِ الْحُلَّةُ وَخَيْرُ الْأُضْحِيَّةِ الْكَبْشُ الْأَقْرَنُ
English Translation
Telah menceritakan kepada kami [Ahmad bin Shalih], telah menceritakan kepadaku [Ibnu Wahb], telah menceritakan kepadaku [Hisyam bin Sa'dan] dari [Hatim bin Abu Nashr] dari ['Ubadah bin Nusai] dari [ayahnya] dari ['Ubadah bin Ash Shamit] dari Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam beliau bersabda: "Sebaik-baik kafan adalah hullah (pakaian yang terdiri dari jubah, sarung dan serempang), dan sebaik-baik kurban adalah domba yang bertanduk."

Imam Abu Dawud compiled Sunan Abu Dawud from approximately 500,000 hadiths, selecting 5,274. His collection is particularly focused on fiqh (Islamic jurisprudence) and legal rulings. He personally wrote to Imam Ahmad ibn Hanbal informing him of the work, and received his approval.
Abu Dawud said: 'I wrote 500,000 hadiths of the Prophet ﷺ, then selected this book from them.' He focused especially on rulings related to halal and haram.
