حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ إِسْمَعِيلَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبَانُ قَالَ سُئِلَ قَتَادَةُ عَنْ التَّيَمُّمِ فِي السَّفَرِ فَقَالَ حَدَّثَنِي مُحَدِّثٌ عَنْ الشَّعْبِيِّ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبْزَى عَنْ عَمَّارِ بْنِ يَاسِرٍأَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ إِلَى الْمِرْفَقَيْنِ
English Translation
Telah menceritakan kepada kami [Musa bin Isma'il] telah menceritakan kepada kami [Aban] dia berkata; [Qatadah] pernah ditanya tentang tayammum ketika safar, maka dia berkata; Telah menceritakan kepadaku [Seorang ahli hadits] dari [Asy-Sya'bi] dari [Abdurrahman bin Abza] dari [Ammar bin Yasir] bahwasanya Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam bersabda: Hingga dua siku.

Imam Abu Dawud compiled Sunan Abu Dawud from approximately 500,000 hadiths, selecting 5,274. His collection is particularly focused on fiqh (Islamic jurisprudence) and legal rulings. He personally wrote to Imam Ahmad ibn Hanbal informing him of the work, and received his approval.
Abu Dawud said: 'I wrote 500,000 hadiths of the Prophet ﷺ, then selected this book from them.' He focused especially on rulings related to halal and haram.
