حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ خَلَّادٍ الْبَاهِلِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ سَلِيمِ بْنِ حَيَّانَ أَخْبَرَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ مِينَاءَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ يَقُولُنَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ تُبَاعَ الثَّمَرَةُ حَتَّى تُشْقِحَ قِيلَ وَمَا تُشْقِحُ قَالَ تَحْمَارُّ وَتَصْفَارُّ وَيُؤْكَلُ مِنْهَا
English Translation
Telah menceritakan kepada kami [Abu Bakr bin Khallad Al Bahili] telah menceritakan kepada kami [Yahya bin Sa'id], dari [Salim bin Hayyan] telah mengabarkan kepada kami [Sa'id bin Mina`], ia berkata; aku mendengar [Jabir bin Abdullah] berkata; Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam melarang menjual buah hingga hingga tusyqif. Ia ditanya apa makna tusyqif? Ia berkata; memerah dan menguning dan dapat dimakan.

Imam Abu Dawud compiled Sunan Abu Dawud from approximately 500,000 hadiths, selecting 5,274. His collection is particularly focused on fiqh (Islamic jurisprudence) and legal rulings. He personally wrote to Imam Ahmad ibn Hanbal informing him of the work, and received his approval.
Abu Dawud said: 'I wrote 500,000 hadiths of the Prophet ﷺ, then selected this book from them.' He focused especially on rulings related to halal and haram.
