حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ عَنْ أَيُّوبَ عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ وَسَعِيدِ بْنِ مِينَاءَ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِأَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَهَى عَنْ الْمُعَاوَمَةِ وَقَالَ أَحَدُهُمَا بَيْعُ السِّنِينَ
English Translation
Telah menceritakan kepada kami [Musaddad] telah menceritakan kepada kami [Hammad] dari [Ayyub] dari [Abu Az Zubair] dan [Sa'id bin Mina`] dari [Jabir bin Abdullah], bahwa Nabi shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam melarang dari mu'awamah (menjual kurma di pohon untuk beberapa tahun sebelum nampak). Sedang salah seorang dari mereka berdua mengatakan; menjual sinin.

Imam Abu Dawud compiled Sunan Abu Dawud from approximately 500,000 hadiths, selecting 5,274. His collection is particularly focused on fiqh (Islamic jurisprudence) and legal rulings. He personally wrote to Imam Ahmad ibn Hanbal informing him of the work, and received his approval.
Abu Dawud said: 'I wrote 500,000 hadiths of the Prophet ﷺ, then selected this book from them.' He focused especially on rulings related to halal and haram.
