حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ الْمِصِّيصِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الزِّبْرِقَانِ عَنْ أَبِي حَيَّانَ التَّيْمِيِّ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَفَعَهُ قَالَإِنَّ اللَّهَ يَقُولُ أَنَا ثَالِثُ الشَّرِيكَيْنِ مَا لَمْ يَخُنْ أَحَدُهُمَا صَاحِبَهُ فَإِذَا خَانَهُ خَرَجْتُ مِنْ بَيْنِهِمَا
English Translation
Telah menceritakan kepada kami [Muhammad bin Sulaiman Al Mishshishi], telah menceritakan kepada kami [Muhammad bin Az Zibriqan], dari [Abu Hayyan At Taimi], dari [ayahnya] dari [Abu Hurairah] dan ia merafa'kannya. Ia berkata; sesungguhnya Allah berfirman: "Aku adalah pihak ketiga dari dua orang yang bersekutu, selama tidak ada salah seorang diantara mereka yang berkhianat kepada sahabatnya. Apabila ia telah mengkhianatinya, maka aku keluar dari keduanya."

Imam Abu Dawud compiled Sunan Abu Dawud from approximately 500,000 hadiths, selecting 5,274. His collection is particularly focused on fiqh (Islamic jurisprudence) and legal rulings. He personally wrote to Imam Ahmad ibn Hanbal informing him of the work, and received his approval.
Abu Dawud said: 'I wrote 500,000 hadiths of the Prophet ﷺ, then selected this book from them.' He focused especially on rulings related to halal and haram.
