حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ الطَّيَالِسِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ الْحَسَنِ عَنْ سَمُرَةَ قَالَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَنْ تَوَضَّأَ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ فَبِهَا وَنِعْمَتْ وَمَنْ اغْتَسَلَ فَهُوَ أَفْضَلُ
English Translation
Telah menceritakan kepada kami [Abu Al-Walid Ath-Thayalisi] telah menceritakan kepada kami [Hammam] dari [Qatadah] dari [Al-Hasan] dari [Samrah] dia berkata; Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam bersabda: "Barangsiapa yang berwudlu pada hari Juma't, maka alangkah baiknya, dan barangsiapa yang mandi, maka itu lebih utama."

Imam Abu Dawud compiled Sunan Abu Dawud from approximately 500,000 hadiths, selecting 5,274. His collection is particularly focused on fiqh (Islamic jurisprudence) and legal rulings. He personally wrote to Imam Ahmad ibn Hanbal informing him of the work, and received his approval.
Abu Dawud said: 'I wrote 500,000 hadiths of the Prophet ﷺ, then selected this book from them.' He focused especially on rulings related to halal and haram.
