حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ حَنْبَلٍ حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ عَنْ عَطَاءٍ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْجَارُ أَحَقُّ بِشُفْعَةِ جَارِهِ يُنْتَظَرُ بِهَا وَإِنْ كَانَ غَائِبًا إِذَا كَانَ طَرِيقُهُمَا وَاحِدًا
English Translation
Telah menceritakan kepada kami [Ahmad bin Hanbal] telah menceritakan kepada kami [Husyaim] telah mengabarkan kepada kami [Abdul Malik] dari ['Atha] dari [Jabir bin Abdullah] ia berkata, "Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam bersabda: "Tetangga lebih berhak untuk membeli rumah tetangganya, ia ditunggu walaupun ia sedang tidak berada di rumah, apabila jalan mereka berdua adalah satu."

Imam Abu Dawud compiled Sunan Abu Dawud from approximately 500,000 hadiths, selecting 5,274. His collection is particularly focused on fiqh (Islamic jurisprudence) and legal rulings. He personally wrote to Imam Ahmad ibn Hanbal informing him of the work, and received his approval.
Abu Dawud said: 'I wrote 500,000 hadiths of the Prophet ﷺ, then selected this book from them.' He focused especially on rulings related to halal and haram.
