    حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ أَبِي رَبَاحٍ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِعَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ نَهَى أَنْ يُنْتَبَذَ الزَّبِيبُ وَالتَّمْرُ جَمِيعًا وَنَهَى أَنْ يُنْتَبَذَ الْبُسْرُ وَالرُّطَبُ جَمِيعًا

    English Translation

    Telah menceritakan kepada kami [Qutaibah bin Sa'id] telah menceritakan kepada kami [Al Laits] dari ['Atha bin Abu Rabbah] dari [Jabir bin Abdullah] dari Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam, bahwa beliau telah melarang anggur dan kurma dibuat perasaan bersama-sama, beliau juga melarang kurma mentah dan kurma segar dibuat perasan secara bersamaan."

    Imam Abu Dawud compiled Sunan Abu Dawud from approximately 500,000 hadiths, selecting 5,274. His collection is particularly focused on fiqh (Islamic jurisprudence) and legal rulings. He personally wrote to Imam Ahmad ibn Hanbal informing him of the work, and received his approval.

    Abu Dawud said: 'I wrote 500,000 hadiths of the Prophet ﷺ, then selected this book from them.' He focused especially on rulings related to halal and haram.
