حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو النَّضْرِ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ ثَابِتٍ حَدَّثَنَا حَسَّانُ بْنُ عَطِيَّةَ عَنْ أَبِي مُنِيبٍ الْجُرَشِيِّ عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَنْ تَشَبَّهَ بِقَوْمٍ فَهُوَ مِنْهُمْ
English Translation
Telah menceritakan kepada kami [Utsman bin Abu Syaibah] berkata, telah menceritakan kepada kami [Abu An Nadhr] berkata, telah menceritakan kepada kami ['Abdurrahman bin Tsabit] berkata, telah menceritakan kepada kami [Hassan bin Athiyah] dari [Abu Munib Al Jurasyi] dari [Ibnu Umar] ia berkata, "Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam bersabda: "Barangsiapa bertasyabuh dengan suatu kaum, maka ia bagian dari mereka."

Imam Abu Dawud compiled Sunan Abu Dawud from approximately 500,000 hadiths, selecting 5,274. His collection is particularly focused on fiqh (Islamic jurisprudence) and legal rulings. He personally wrote to Imam Ahmad ibn Hanbal informing him of the work, and received his approval.
Abu Dawud said: 'I wrote 500,000 hadiths of the Prophet ﷺ, then selected this book from them.' He focused especially on rulings related to halal and haram.
