حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ حَدَّثَنَا عِمْرَانُ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ زُرَارَةَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَعَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لَا تَصْحَبُ الْمَلَائِكَةُ رُفْقَةً فِيهَا جِلْدُ نَمِرٍ
English Translation
Telah menceritakan kepada kami [Muhammad bin Basysyar] berkata, telah menceritakan kepada kami [Abu Dawud] berkata, telah menceritakan kepada kami [Imran] dari [Qatadah] dari [Zurarah] dari [Abu Hurairah] dari Nabi shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam, beliau bersabda: "Malaikat tidak akan menyertai rombongan yang di dalamnya terdapat kulit harimau."

Imam Abu Dawud compiled Sunan Abu Dawud from approximately 500,000 hadiths, selecting 5,274. His collection is particularly focused on fiqh (Islamic jurisprudence) and legal rulings. He personally wrote to Imam Ahmad ibn Hanbal informing him of the work, and received his approval.
Abu Dawud said: 'I wrote 500,000 hadiths of the Prophet ﷺ, then selected this book from them.' He focused especially on rulings related to halal and haram.
