حَدَّثَنَا مُؤَمَّلُ بْنُ الْفَضْلِ الْحَرَّانِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا بَقِيَّةُ عَنْ بَحِيرٍ عَنْ خَالِدِ بْنِ مَعْدَانَ عَنْ ابْنِ أَبِي بِلَالٍ عَنْ عِرْبَاضِ بْنِ سَارِيَةَأَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَقْرَأُ الْمُسَبِّحَاتِ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَرْقُدَ وَقَالَ إِنَّ فِيهِنَّ آيَةً أَفْضَلُ مِنْ أَلْفِ آيَةٍ
English Translation
Telah menceritakan kepada kami [Muammal Ibnul Fadhl Al Harrani] berkata, telah menceritakan kepada kami [Baqiyyah] dari [Bahirah] dari [Khalid bin Ma'dan] dari [Ibnu Abu Bilal] dari [Irbadh bin Sariyah] berkata, "Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam biasa membaca Al musabbihat (semua surat yang dimulai dengan lafadz sabbaha) sebelum tidur. Beliau bersabda: "Sesungguhnya pada surat-surat itu ada ayat yang lebih utama dari seribu ayat."

Imam Abu Dawud compiled Sunan Abu Dawud from approximately 500,000 hadiths, selecting 5,274. His collection is particularly focused on fiqh (Islamic jurisprudence) and legal rulings. He personally wrote to Imam Ahmad ibn Hanbal informing him of the work, and received his approval.
Abu Dawud said: 'I wrote 500,000 hadiths of the Prophet ﷺ, then selected this book from them.' He focused especially on rulings related to halal and haram.
