حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي عَبِيدَةُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ عَنْ أَبِي الْجَعْدِ الضَّمْرِيِّ وَكَانَتْ لَهُ صُحْبَةٌأَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ مَنْ تَرَكَ ثَلَاثَ جُمَعٍ تَهَاوُنًا بِهَا طَبَعَ اللَّهُ عَلَى قَلْبِهِ
English Translation
Telah menceritakan kepada kami [Musaddad] telah menceritakan kepada kami [Yahya] dari [Muhammad bin 'Amru] dia berkata; telah menceritakan kepadaku ['Abidah bin Sufyan Al Hadlrami] dari [Abu Al Ja'd Adl Dlamri] -beliau termasuk dari sahabat Nabi- bahwa Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam bersabda: "Barangsiapa meninggalkan Jum'at tiga kali karena meremehkannya, Allah menutup pintu hatinya."

Imam Abu Dawud compiled Sunan Abu Dawud from approximately 500,000 hadiths, selecting 5,274. His collection is particularly focused on fiqh (Islamic jurisprudence) and legal rulings. He personally wrote to Imam Ahmad ibn Hanbal informing him of the work, and received his approval.
Abu Dawud said: 'I wrote 500,000 hadiths of the Prophet ﷺ, then selected this book from them.' He focused especially on rulings related to halal and haram.
