حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْمُنْكَدِرِ وَإِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ مَيْسَرَةَ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَصَلَّيْتُ الظُّهْرَ مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِالْمَدِينَةِ أَرْبَعًا وَبِذِي الْحُلَيْفَةِ رَكْعَتَيْنِ
English Translation
Telah menceritakan kepada kami [Abu Nu'aim] berkata, telah menceritakan kepada kami [Sufyan] dari [Muhammad bin Al Munkadir] dan [Ibrahim bin Maisarah] dari [Anas bin Malik radliallahu 'anhu] berkata: "Aku shalat Zhuhur bersama Nabi shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam di Madinah sebanyak empat raka'at sedangkan ketika di Dzul Hulaifah dua raka'at".

Imam al-Bukhari dedicated 16 years to compiling Sahih al-Bukhari, selecting approximately 7,275 hadiths from over 600,000 narrations he examined. His strict conditions for accepting a hadith — requiring narrator continuity, reliable memory, and confirmed meeting between narrators — make it the most rigorously authenticated hadith collection in Islamic scholarship.
Imam al-Bukhari would perform ghusl and pray two rak'ahs before recording each hadith. Sahih al-Bukhari is universally regarded as the most authentic book after the Quran.
