حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْيَمَانِ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا شُعَيْبٌ عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُتْبَةَ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ أَنَّ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَقَامَ أَعْرَابِيٌّ فَبَالَ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ فَتَنَاوَلَهُ النَّاسُ فَقَالَ لَهُمْ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ دَعُوهُ وَهَرِيقُوا عَلَى بَوْلِهِ سَجْلًا مِنْ مَاءٍ أَوْ ذَنُوبًا مِنْ مَاءٍ فَإِنَّمَا بُعِثْتُمْ مُيَسِّرِينَ وَلَمْ تُبْعَثُوا مُعَسِّرِينَ
English Translation
Telah menceritakan kepada kami [Abu Al Yaman] berkata, telah mengabarkan kepada kami [Syu'aib] dari [Az Zuhri] berkata, telah mengabarkan kepadaku ['Ubaidullah bin 'Abdullah bin 'Utbah bin Mas'ud] bahwa [Abu Hurairah] berkata, "Seorang 'Arab badui berdiri dan kencing di Masjid, lalu orang-orang ingin mengusirnya. Maka Nabi shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam pun bersabda kepada mereka: "Biarkanlah dia dan siramlah bekas kencingnya dengan setimba air, atau dengan seember air, sesungguhnya kalian diutus untuk memberi kemudahan dan tidak diutus untuk membuat kesulitan."

Imam al-Bukhari dedicated 16 years to compiling Sahih al-Bukhari, selecting approximately 7,275 hadiths from over 600,000 narrations he examined. His strict conditions for accepting a hadith — requiring narrator continuity, reliable memory, and confirmed meeting between narrators — make it the most rigorously authenticated hadith collection in Islamic scholarship.
Imam al-Bukhari would perform ghusl and pray two rak'ahs before recording each hadith. Sahih al-Bukhari is universally regarded as the most authentic book after the Quran.
