حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ عَنْ طَلْحَةَ عَنْ أَنَسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَمَرَّ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِتَمْرَةٍ فِي الطَّرِيقِ قَالَ لَوْلَا أَنِّي أَخَافُ أَنْ تَكُونَ مِنْ الصَّدَقَةِ لَأَكَلْتُهَاوَقَالَ يَحْيَى حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ حَدَّثَنِي مَنْصُورٌ وَقَالَ زَائِدَةُ عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ عَنْ طَلْحَةَ حَدَّثَنَا أَنَسٌ
English Translation
Telah menceritakan kepada kami [Muhammad bin Yusuf] telah menceritakan kepada kami [Sufyan] dari [Manshur] dari [Tholhah] dari [Anas radliallahu 'anhu] berkata: Nabi shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam berjalan melewati buah-buah kurma yang jatuh di jalan, lalu Beliau berkata: "Seandainya aku tidak takut bahwa pada kurma-kurma ini ada kewajiban shadaqah (zakat) tentu aku sudah memakannya". Dan berkata, [Yahya] telah menceritakan kepada kami [Sufyan] telah menceritakan kepadaku [Manshur] dan berkata, [Za'idah] dari [Manshur] dari [Tholhah] telah menceritakan kepada kami [Anas].

Imam al-Bukhari dedicated 16 years to compiling Sahih al-Bukhari, selecting approximately 7,275 hadiths from over 600,000 narrations he examined. His strict conditions for accepting a hadith — requiring narrator continuity, reliable memory, and confirmed meeting between narrators — make it the most rigorously authenticated hadith collection in Islamic scholarship.
Imam al-Bukhari would perform ghusl and pray two rak'ahs before recording each hadith. Sahih al-Bukhari is universally regarded as the most authentic book after the Quran.
