حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ حَدَّثَنَا مُعْتَمِرٌ عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ عَنْ أَنَسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ انْصُرْ أَخَاكَ ظَالِمًا أَوْ مَظْلُومًا قَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ هَذَا نَنْصُرُهُ مَظْلُومًا فَكَيْفَ نَنْصُرُهُ ظَالِمًا قَالَ تَأْخُذُ فَوْقَ يَدَيْهِ
English Translation
Telah menceritakan kepada kami [Musaddad] telah menceritakan kepada kami [Mu'tamir] dari [Humaid] dari [Anas radliallahu 'anhu] berkata; Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam bersabda: 'Tolonglah saudaramu yang berbuat zhalim (aniaya) dan yang dizhalimi". Mereka bertanya: "Wahai Rasulullah, jelas kami faham menolong orang yang dizhalimi tapi bagaimana kami harus menolong orang yang berbuat zhalim?" Beliau bersabda: "Pegang tangannya (agar tidak berbuat zhalim) ".

Imam al-Bukhari dedicated 16 years to compiling Sahih al-Bukhari, selecting approximately 7,275 hadiths from over 600,000 narrations he examined. His strict conditions for accepting a hadith — requiring narrator continuity, reliable memory, and confirmed meeting between narrators — make it the most rigorously authenticated hadith collection in Islamic scholarship.
Imam al-Bukhari would perform ghusl and pray two rak'ahs before recording each hadith. Sahih al-Bukhari is universally regarded as the most authentic book after the Quran.
