حَدَّثَنَا قَبِيصَةُ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا قَالَأَجْرَى النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَا ضُمِّرَ مِنْ الْخَيْلِ مِنْ الْحَفْيَاءِ إِلَى ثَنِيَّةِ الْوَدَاعِ وَأَجْرَى مَا لَمْ يُضَمَّرْ مِنْ الثَّنِيَّةِ إِلَى مَسْجِدِ بَنِي زُرَيْقٍ قَالَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ وَكُنْتُ فِيمَنْ أَجْرَىقَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ قَالَ سُفْيَانُ بَيْنَ الْحَفْيَاءِ إِلَى ثَنِيَّةِ الْوَدَاعِ خَمْسَةُ أَمْيَالٍ أَوْ سِتَّةٌ وَبَيْنَ ثَنِيَّةَ إِلَى مَسْجِدِ بَنِي زُرَيْقٍ مِيلٌ
English Translation
Telah bercerita kepada kami [Qabishah] telah bercerita kepada kami [Sufyan] dari ['Ubaidullah] dari [Nafi'] dari [Ibnu 'Umar radliallahu 'anhuma] berkata; Nabi shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam memacu kuda pacuan dari Al Hafya' hingga Tsaniyatul Wada' dan memacu kuda yang bukan kuda pacuan dari Tsaniyatul Wada' hingga masjid Bani Zurai'. Ibnu 'Umar radliallahu 'anhuma: "Aku termasuk orang yang ikut dalam pacuan kuda itu". Berkata ['Abdullah] telah bercerita kepada kami [Sufyan] berkata telah bercerita kepadaku ['Ubaidullah], berkata [Sufyan]: "Jarak antara Al Hafya' ke Tsaniyatul Wada' antara lima atau enam mil sedangkan jarak antara Tsaniyatul Wada' ke masjid Bani Zurai' satu mil".

Imam al-Bukhari dedicated 16 years to compiling Sahih al-Bukhari, selecting approximately 7,275 hadiths from over 600,000 narrations he examined. His strict conditions for accepting a hadith — requiring narrator continuity, reliable memory, and confirmed meeting between narrators — make it the most rigorously authenticated hadith collection in Islamic scholarship.
Imam al-Bukhari would perform ghusl and pray two rak'ahs before recording each hadith. Sahih al-Bukhari is universally regarded as the most authentic book after the Quran.
