حَدَّثَنَا قَبِيصَةُ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بِهَذَا وَعَنْ حَبِيبِ بْنِ أَبِي عَمْرَةَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ بِنْتِ طَلْحَةَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ أُمِّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَعَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ سَأَلَهُ نِسَاؤُهُ عَنْ الْجِهَادِ فَقَالَ نِعْمَ الْجِهَادُ الْحَجُّ
English Translation
Telah bercerita kepada kami [Qabishah] telah bercerita kepada kami [Sufyan] dari [Mu'awiyah] dengan hadits seperti ini. Dan dari [Habib bin Abi 'Amrah] dari ['Aisyah binti Thalhah] dari ['Aisyah, ummul mu'minin radliallahu 'anha] dari Nabi shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam bahwa para istri Beliau bertanya kepada Beliau tentang jihad, maka Beliau bersabda: "sebaik-baik jihad (bagi kaum wanita) adalah hajii".

Imam al-Bukhari dedicated 16 years to compiling Sahih al-Bukhari, selecting approximately 7,275 hadiths from over 600,000 narrations he examined. His strict conditions for accepting a hadith — requiring narrator continuity, reliable memory, and confirmed meeting between narrators — make it the most rigorously authenticated hadith collection in Islamic scholarship.
Imam al-Bukhari would perform ghusl and pray two rak'ahs before recording each hadith. Sahih al-Bukhari is universally regarded as the most authentic book after the Quran.
