حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يُونُسَ أَخْبَرَنَا اللَّيْثُ عَنْ نَافِعٍ أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَخْبَرَهُأَنَّ امْرَأَةً وُجِدَتْ فِي بَعْضِ مَغَازِي النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَقْتُولَةً فَأَنْكَرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَتْلَ النِّسَاءِ وَالصِّبْيَانِ
English Translation
Telah bercerita kepada kami [Ahmad bin Yunus] telah mengabarkan kepada kami [Al Laits] dari [Nafi'] bahwa ['Abdullah radliallahu 'anhu] mengabarkan kepadanya bahwa ada seorang wanita yang ditemukan (dalam keadaan terbunuh) di sebagian peperangan Nabi shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam, maka Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam mengingkari pembunuhan terhadap wanita dan anak-anak.

Imam al-Bukhari dedicated 16 years to compiling Sahih al-Bukhari, selecting approximately 7,275 hadiths from over 600,000 narrations he examined. His strict conditions for accepting a hadith — requiring narrator continuity, reliable memory, and confirmed meeting between narrators — make it the most rigorously authenticated hadith collection in Islamic scholarship.
Imam al-Bukhari would perform ghusl and pray two rak'ahs before recording each hadith. Sahih al-Bukhari is universally regarded as the most authentic book after the Quran.
