حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْأَحْوَصِ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ الْبَرَاءِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَرَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَوْمَ الْخَنْدَقِ وَهُوَ يَنْقُلُ التُّرَابَ حَتَّى وَارَى التُّرَابُ شَعَرَ صَدْرِهِ وَكَانَ رَجُلًا كَثِيرَ الشَّعَرِ وَهُوَ يَرْتَجِزُ بِرَجَزِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ اللَّهُمَّ لَوْلَا أَنْتَ مَا اهْتَدَيْنَاوَلَا تَصَدَّقْنَا وَلَا صَلَّيْنَافَأَنْزِلَنْ سَكِينَةً عَلَيْنَاوَثَبِّتْ الْأَقْدَامَ إِنْ لَاقَيْنَاإِنَّ الْأَعْدَاءَ قَدْ بَغَوْا عَلَيْنَاإِذَا أَرَادُوا فِتْنَةً أَبَيْنَايَرْفَعُ بِهَا صَوْتَهُ
English Translation
Telah bercerita kepada kami [Musaddad] telah bercerita kepada kami [Abu Al Ahwash] telah bercerita kepada kami [Abu Ishaq] dari [Al Baro' radliallahu 'anhu] berkata; Aku melihat Nabi Shallallahu'alaihiwasallam pada perang Khondaq sedang mengangkut tanah hingga tanah itu menutup bulu dada Beliau. Beliau memang seorang yang berbulu lebat Saat itu Beliau menyenandungkan sya'ir 'Abdullah: "Ya Allah, kalau bukan karena Engkau, tentu kami tidak akan mendapat petunjuk. Dan tidak akan pula kami bershodaqoh dan sholat". Maka turunkanlah sakinah kepada kami dan teguhkanlah kaki berpijak kami karena kami sedang berhadapan"."Dengan musuh yang telah durjana terhadap kami. Jika mereka menghendaki fitnah terhadap kami, kami akan mengabaikannya". Beliau menyenandungkannya dengan suara keras.

Imam al-Bukhari dedicated 16 years to compiling Sahih al-Bukhari, selecting approximately 7,275 hadiths from over 600,000 narrations he examined. His strict conditions for accepting a hadith — requiring narrator continuity, reliable memory, and confirmed meeting between narrators — make it the most rigorously authenticated hadith collection in Islamic scholarship.
Imam al-Bukhari would perform ghusl and pray two rak'ahs before recording each hadith. Sahih al-Bukhari is universally regarded as the most authentic book after the Quran.
