حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ قَالَ عَمْرٌو وَابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ سَمِعْتُ عَطَاءً يَقُولُ ذَهَبْتُ مَعَ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ إِلَى عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا وَهِيَ مُجَاوِرَةٌ بِثَبِيرٍ فَقَالَتْ لَنَاانْقَطَعَتْ الْهِجْرَةُ مُنْذُ فَتَحَ اللَّهُ عَلَى نَبِيِّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَكَّةَ
English Translation
Telah bercerita kepada kami ['Ali bin 'Abdullah] telah bercerita kepada kami [Sufyan], berkata ['Amru] dan [Ibnu Juraij] aku mendengar ['Atha'] berkata; "Aku pergi bersama 'Ubaid bin 'Umair menemui ['Aisyah] radliallahu 'anhu yang ketika itu sedang berada di bukit, lalu dia berkata kepada kami; "Hijrah telah terputus (kewajibannya) sejak Allah memberikan kemenangan kepada Nabi Shallallahu'alaihiwasallam atas kota Makkah".

Imam al-Bukhari dedicated 16 years to compiling Sahih al-Bukhari, selecting approximately 7,275 hadiths from over 600,000 narrations he examined. His strict conditions for accepting a hadith — requiring narrator continuity, reliable memory, and confirmed meeting between narrators — make it the most rigorously authenticated hadith collection in Islamic scholarship.
Imam al-Bukhari would perform ghusl and pray two rak'ahs before recording each hadith. Sahih al-Bukhari is universally regarded as the most authentic book after the Quran.
