حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْجُعْفِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ حَدَّثَنَا شَيْبَانُ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ حَدَّثَنَا أَنَسٌ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَأُهْدِيَ لِلنَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ جُبَّةُ سُنْدُسٍ وَكَانَ يَنْهَى عَنْ الْحَرِيرِ فَعَجِبَ النَّاسُ مِنْهَا فَقَالَ وَالَّذِي نَفْسُ مُحَمَّدٍ بِيَدِهِ لَمَنَادِيلُ سَعْدِ بْنِ مُعَاذٍ فِي الْجَنَّةِ أَحْسَنُ مِنْ هَذَا
English Translation
Telah bercerita kepada kami ['Abdullah bin Muhammad Al Ju'fiy] telah bercerita kepada kami [Yunus bin Muhammad] telah bercerita kepada kami [Syaiban] dari [Qatadah] telah bercerita kepada kami [Anas radliallahu 'anhu] berkata: "Nabi shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam dihadiahi baju jubah terbuat dari sutera tipis padahal sebelumnya Beliau pernah melarang memakai sutera. Lalu orang-orang pun menjadi terkagum-kagum karenanya. Maka Beliau bersabda: "Demi Dzat yang jiwa Muhammad berada di tangan-Nya, sungguh sapu tangan Sa'ad bin Mu'adz di surga lebih baik daripada ini".

Imam al-Bukhari dedicated 16 years to compiling Sahih al-Bukhari, selecting approximately 7,275 hadiths from over 600,000 narrations he examined. His strict conditions for accepting a hadith — requiring narrator continuity, reliable memory, and confirmed meeting between narrators — make it the most rigorously authenticated hadith collection in Islamic scholarship.
Imam al-Bukhari would perform ghusl and pray two rak'ahs before recording each hadith. Sahih al-Bukhari is universally regarded as the most authentic book after the Quran.
