حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سِنَانٍ حَدَّثَنَا فُلَيْحُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ حَدَّثَنَا هِلَالُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي عَمْرَةَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَا أَوْلَى النَّاسِ بِعِيسَى ابْنِ مَرْيَمَ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالْآخِرَةِ وَالْأَنْبِيَاءُ إِخْوَةٌ لِعَلَّاتٍ أُمَّهَاتُهُمْ شَتَّى وَدِينُهُمْ وَاحِدٌ
English Translation
Telah bercerita kepada kami [Muhammad bin Sinan] telah bercerita kepada kami [Fulaih bin Sulaiman] telah bercerita kepada kami [Hilal bin 'Ali] dari ['Abdur Rahman bin Abu 'Amrah] dari [Abu Hurairah radliallahu 'anhu] berkata, Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam besabda: "Aku orang yang paling dekat dengan 'Isa bin Maryam 'alaihis salam di dunia dan akhirat, dan para Nabi adalah bersaudara (dari keturunan) satu ayah dengan ibu yang berbeda, sedangkan agama mereka satu".

Imam al-Bukhari dedicated 16 years to compiling Sahih al-Bukhari, selecting approximately 7,275 hadiths from over 600,000 narrations he examined. His strict conditions for accepting a hadith — requiring narrator continuity, reliable memory, and confirmed meeting between narrators — make it the most rigorously authenticated hadith collection in Islamic scholarship.
Imam al-Bukhari would perform ghusl and pray two rak'ahs before recording each hadith. Sahih al-Bukhari is universally regarded as the most authentic book after the Quran.
