حَدَّثَنَا مُسْلِمُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَكَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُصَلِّي عَلَى رَاحِلَتِهِ حَيْثُ تَوَجَّهَتْ فَإِذَا أَرَادَ الْفَرِيضَةَ نَزَلَ فَاسْتَقْبَلَ الْقِبْلَةَ
English Translation
Telah menceritakan kepada kami [Muslim bin Ibrahim] berkata, telah menceritakan kepada kami [Hisyam bin Abu 'abdullah] berkata, telah menceritakan kepada kami [Yahya bin Abu Katsir] dari [Muhammad bin 'Abdurrahman] dari [Jabir bin 'Abdullah] berkata, "Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam shalat diatas tunggangannya menghadap kemana arah tunggangannya menghadap. Jika Beliau hendak melaksanakan shalat yang fardlu, maka beliau turun lalu shalat menghadap kiblat."

Imam al-Bukhari dedicated 16 years to compiling Sahih al-Bukhari, selecting approximately 7,275 hadiths from over 600,000 narrations he examined. His strict conditions for accepting a hadith — requiring narrator continuity, reliable memory, and confirmed meeting between narrators — make it the most rigorously authenticated hadith collection in Islamic scholarship.
Imam al-Bukhari would perform ghusl and pray two rak'ahs before recording each hadith. Sahih al-Bukhari is universally regarded as the most authentic book after the Quran.
