حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ح حَدَّثَنَا قَبِيصَةُ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ أَنَسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَأَقَمْنَا مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَشْرًا نَقْصُرُ الصَّلَاةَ
English Translation
Telah menceritakan kepada kami [Abu Nu'aim] Telah menceritakan kepada kami [Sufyan] -lewat jalur periwayatan lain-Telah menceritakan kepada kami [Qabishah] telah menceritakan kepada kami [Sufyan] dari [Yahya bin Abu Ishaq] dari [Anas] radliallahu 'anhu, katanya, kami bermukim bersama Nabi shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam sepuluh hari, dan sekian hari itu kami melakukan qashar.

Imam al-Bukhari dedicated 16 years to compiling Sahih al-Bukhari, selecting approximately 7,275 hadiths from over 600,000 narrations he examined. His strict conditions for accepting a hadith — requiring narrator continuity, reliable memory, and confirmed meeting between narrators — make it the most rigorously authenticated hadith collection in Islamic scholarship.
Imam al-Bukhari would perform ghusl and pray two rak'ahs before recording each hadith. Sahih al-Bukhari is universally regarded as the most authentic book after the Quran.
