حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ نُمَيْرٍ حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُرَأَيْتُ بِيَدِ ابْنِ أَبِي أَوْفَىضَرْبَةً قَالَ ضُرِبْتُهَا مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَوْمَ حُنَيْنٍ قُلْتُ شَهِدْتَ حُنَيْنًا قَالَ قَبْلَ ذَلِكَ
English Translation
Telah menceritakan kepada kami [Muhammad bin Abdullah bin Numair] Telah menceritakan kepada kami [Yazid bin Harun] Telah mengabarkan kepada kami [Ismail] pernah kulihat ditangan [Ibnu Abu Aufa] ada bekas-bekas sabetan. Kata Ibnu Abu Aufa, aku terkena sabetan itu bersama Nabi shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam pada perang Hunain, saya tanyakan; "Engkau ikut perang Hunain? Jawabnya; "Sebelum itu."

Imam al-Bukhari dedicated 16 years to compiling Sahih al-Bukhari, selecting approximately 7,275 hadiths from over 600,000 narrations he examined. His strict conditions for accepting a hadith — requiring narrator continuity, reliable memory, and confirmed meeting between narrators — make it the most rigorously authenticated hadith collection in Islamic scholarship.
Imam al-Bukhari would perform ghusl and pray two rak'ahs before recording each hadith. Sahih al-Bukhari is universally regarded as the most authentic book after the Quran.
