حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ أَبُو الرَّبِيعِ حَدَّثَنَا فُلَيْحٌ عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَأَنَّ أَبَا بَكْرٍ الصِّدِّيقَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ بَعَثَهُ فِي الْحَجَّةِ الَّتِي أَمَّرَهُ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَيْهَا قَبْلَ حَجَّةِ الْوَدَاعِ يَوْمَ النَّحْرِ فِي رَهْطٍ يُؤَذِّنُ فِي النَّاسِ لَا يَحُجُّ بَعْدَ الْعَامِ مُشْرِكٌ وَلَا يَطُوفُ بِالْبَيْتِ عُرْيَانٌ
English Translation
Telah menceritakan kepada kami [Sulaiman bin Dawud Abu Ar Rabi'] Telah menceritakan kepada kami [Fulaih] dari [Az Zuhri] dari [Humaid bin 'Abdur Rahman] dari [Abu Hurairah] bahwa Abu Bakr Ash Shiddiq ditugaskan oleh Nabi shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam memimpin satu kaum pada hari Nahar sebelum haji Wada untuk memberitahukan kepada orang banyak bahwasannya; 'Sesudah tahun ini orang-orang musyrik tidak boleh lagi haji dan tidak boleh thawaf di ka'bah dalam keadaan telanjang.'

Imam al-Bukhari dedicated 16 years to compiling Sahih al-Bukhari, selecting approximately 7,275 hadiths from over 600,000 narrations he examined. His strict conditions for accepting a hadith — requiring narrator continuity, reliable memory, and confirmed meeting between narrators — make it the most rigorously authenticated hadith collection in Islamic scholarship.
Imam al-Bukhari would perform ghusl and pray two rak'ahs before recording each hadith. Sahih al-Bukhari is universally regarded as the most authentic book after the Quran.
