حَدَّثَنَا مُقَدَّمُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يَحْيَى حَدَّثَنَا عَمِّي الْقَاسِمُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ وَقَدْ سَمِعَ مِنْهُ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَاأَنَّ رَجُلًا رَمَى امْرَأَتَهُ فَانْتَفَى مِنْ وَلَدِهَا فِي زَمَانِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَأَمَرَ بِهِمَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَتَلَاعَنَا كَمَا قَالَ اللَّهُ ثُمَّ قَضَى بِالْوَلَدِ لِلْمَرْأَةِ وَفَرَّقَ بَيْنَ الْمُتَلَاعِنَيْنِ
English Translation
Telah menceritakan kepada kami [Muqaddam bin Muhammad bin Yahya] Telah menceritakan kepada kami pamanku [Al Qasim bin Yahya] dari ['Ubaidullah] -dia telah mendengar darinya- dari [Nafi'] dari [Ibnu 'Umar radliallahu 'anhuma] bahwa pada masa Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam, ada seorang lelaki meli'an (menuduh) isterinya dan tidak mengakui janin yang yang dikandungnya adalah anaknya. Maka Rasulullah menyuruh keduanya menghadap namun keduanya malah saling menuduh. Sebagaimana firman Allah, Rasulullah memutuskan anaknya milik sang istri dan memisahkan keduanya, (suami dan istri).

Imam al-Bukhari dedicated 16 years to compiling Sahih al-Bukhari, selecting approximately 7,275 hadiths from over 600,000 narrations he examined. His strict conditions for accepting a hadith — requiring narrator continuity, reliable memory, and confirmed meeting between narrators — make it the most rigorously authenticated hadith collection in Islamic scholarship.
Imam al-Bukhari would perform ghusl and pray two rak'ahs before recording each hadith. Sahih al-Bukhari is universally regarded as the most authentic book after the Quran.
