حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ حَدَّثَنَا أَخِي عَنْ ابْنِ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ عَنْ سَعِيدٍ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُعَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ يَلْقَى إِبْرَاهِيمُ أَبَاهُ فَيَقُولُ يَا رَبِّ إِنَّكَ وَعَدْتَنِي أَنْ لَا تُخْزِيَنِي يَوْمَ يُبْعَثُونَ فَيَقُولُ اللَّهُ إِنِّي حَرَّمْتُ الْجَنَّةَ عَلَى الْكَافِرِينَ
English Translation
Telah menceritakan kepada kami [Isma'il] Telah menceritakan kepada kami [Saudara laki-lakiku] dari [Ibnu Abu Dzib] dari [Sa'id Al Maqburi] dari [Abu Hurairah radliallahu 'anhu] dari Nabi shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam beliau bersabda: 'Tatkala Ibrahim bertemu bapaknya, dia berkata; Ya Rabbku, Engkau telah menjanjikan kepadaku bahwa Engkau tidak akan membuatku sedih pada hari kiamat. Maka Allah berfirman: "Sesungguhnya Aku telah mengharamkan surga bagi orang-orang kafir."

Imam al-Bukhari dedicated 16 years to compiling Sahih al-Bukhari, selecting approximately 7,275 hadiths from over 600,000 narrations he examined. His strict conditions for accepting a hadith — requiring narrator continuity, reliable memory, and confirmed meeting between narrators — make it the most rigorously authenticated hadith collection in Islamic scholarship.
Imam al-Bukhari would perform ghusl and pray two rak'ahs before recording each hadith. Sahih al-Bukhari is universally regarded as the most authentic book after the Quran.
