حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُقَاتِلٍ أَخْبَرَنَا يَعْلَى حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ الْعُصْفُرِيُّ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ{ لَرَادُّكَ إِلَى مَعَادٍ }قَالَ إِلَى مَكَّةَ
English Translation
Telah menceritakan kepada kami [Muhammad bin Muqatil] Telah mengabarkan kepada kami [Ya'la] Telah menceritakan kepada kami [Sufyan Al 'Ushfuri] dari ['Ikrimah] dari [Ibnu 'Abbas] mengenai firman Allah: Sesungguhnya yang mewajibkan atasmu (melaksanakan hukum-hukum) Al Quran, benar-benar akan mengembalikan kamu ke tempat kembali (al Qashshas: 85). Ibnu Abbas berkata; Tempat kembali yang dimaksudkan yaitu Makkah.

Imam al-Bukhari dedicated 16 years to compiling Sahih al-Bukhari, selecting approximately 7,275 hadiths from over 600,000 narrations he examined. His strict conditions for accepting a hadith — requiring narrator continuity, reliable memory, and confirmed meeting between narrators — make it the most rigorously authenticated hadith collection in Islamic scholarship.
Imam al-Bukhari would perform ghusl and pray two rak'ahs before recording each hadith. Sahih al-Bukhari is universally regarded as the most authentic book after the Quran.
