حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ زُرَارَةَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا هُشَيْمٌ عَنْ الشَّيْبَانِيِّ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ شَدَّادِ بْنِ الْهَادِ قَالَ أَخْبَرَتْنِي خَالَتِي مَيْمُونَةُ بِنْتُ الْحَارِثِ قَالَتْكَانَ فِرَاشِي حِيَالَ مُصَلَّى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَرُبَّمَا وَقَعَ ثَوْبُهُ عَلَيَّ وَأَنَا عَلَى فِرَاشِي
English Translation
Telah menceritakan kepada kami ['Amru bin Zurarah] berkata, telah mengabarkan kepada kami [Husyaim] dari [Asy Syaibani] dari ['Abdullah bin Syaddad bin Al Had] berkata, bibiku [Maimunah binti Al Harits] mengabarkan kepadaku, ia berkata, "Tempat tidurku berhadapan dengan tempat shalat Nabi shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam, dan terkadang pakaian beliau mengenaiku saat aku sedang tidur."

Imam al-Bukhari dedicated 16 years to compiling Sahih al-Bukhari, selecting approximately 7,275 hadiths from over 600,000 narrations he examined. His strict conditions for accepting a hadith — requiring narrator continuity, reliable memory, and confirmed meeting between narrators — make it the most rigorously authenticated hadith collection in Islamic scholarship.
Imam al-Bukhari would perform ghusl and pray two rak'ahs before recording each hadith. Sahih al-Bukhari is universally regarded as the most authentic book after the Quran.
