حَدَّثَنَا مُسْلِمٌ حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ عَنْ أَنَسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَإِنِّي لَأَسْقِي أَبَا طَلْحَةَ وَأَبَا دُجَانَةَ وَسُهَيْلَ بْنَ الْبَيْضَاءِ خَلِيطَ بُسْرٍ وَتَمْرٍ إِذْ حُرِّمَتْ الْخَمْرُ فَقَذَفْتُهَا وَأَنَا سَاقِيهِمْ وَأَصْغَرُهُمْ وَإِنَّا نَعُدُّهَا يَوْمَئِذٍ الْخَمْرَوَقَالَ عَمْرُو بْنُ الْحَارِثِ حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ سَمِعَ أَنَسًا
English Translation
Telah menceritakan kepada kami [Muslim] telah menceritakan kepada kami [Hisyam] telah menceritakan kepada kami [Qatadah] dari [Anas] radliallahu 'anhu, dia berkata; "Sesungguhnya aku pernah menuangkan minuman campuran busr (kurma muda) dan tamr (kurma kering) kepada Abu Thalhah, Abu Dujanah dan Suhail bin Baidla`, tiba-tiba khamr di haramkan, lalu aku tumpahkan semuanya padahal aku adalah pelayan yang bertugas menuangkan minuman dan aku termasuk orang yang paling muda di anatara mereka, kami menganggap perasan tersebut sebagai khamr." ['Amru bin Al Harits] telah menceritakan kepada kami [Qatadah] bahwa dia mendengar dari [Anas].

Imam al-Bukhari dedicated 16 years to compiling Sahih al-Bukhari, selecting approximately 7,275 hadiths from over 600,000 narrations he examined. His strict conditions for accepting a hadith — requiring narrator continuity, reliable memory, and confirmed meeting between narrators — make it the most rigorously authenticated hadith collection in Islamic scholarship.
Imam al-Bukhari would perform ghusl and pray two rak'ahs before recording each hadith. Sahih al-Bukhari is universally regarded as the most authentic book after the Quran.
