حَدَّثَنَا مُسْلِمٌ حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ أَخْبَرَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي قَتَادَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَنَهَى النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ يُجْمَعَ بَيْنَ التَّمْرِ وَالزَّهْوِ وَالتَّمْرِ وَالزَّبِيبِ وَلْيُنْبَذْ كُلُّ وَاحِدٍ مِنْهُمَا عَلَى حِدَةٍ
English Translation
Telah menceritakan kepada kami [Muslim] telah menceritakan kepada kami [Hisyam] telah mengabarkan kepada kami [Yahya bin Abu Katsir] dari [Abdullah bin Abu Qatadah] dari [ayahnya] dia berkata; Nabi shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam melarang mencampur antara perasan kurma kering dengan zahw (kurma muda), antara tamr (kurma kering) dengan kismis, lalu setiap dari keduanya di rendam dalam satu wadah."

Imam al-Bukhari dedicated 16 years to compiling Sahih al-Bukhari, selecting approximately 7,275 hadiths from over 600,000 narrations he examined. His strict conditions for accepting a hadith — requiring narrator continuity, reliable memory, and confirmed meeting between narrators — make it the most rigorously authenticated hadith collection in Islamic scholarship.
Imam al-Bukhari would perform ghusl and pray two rak'ahs before recording each hadith. Sahih al-Bukhari is universally regarded as the most authentic book after the Quran.
