حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ الْمُفَضَّلِ عَنْ خَالِدِ بْنِ ذَكْوَانَ عَنْ رُبَيِّعَ بِنْتِ مُعَوِّذِ بْنِ عَفْرَاءَ قَالَتْكُنَّا نَغْزُو مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَسْقِي الْقَوْمَ وَنَخْدُمُهُمْ وَنَرُدُّ الْقَتْلَى وَالْجَرْحَى إِلَى الْمَدِينَةِ
English Translation
Telah menceritakan kepada kami [Qutaibah bin Sa'id] telah menceritakan kepada kami [Bisyr bin Al Mufadlal] dari [Khalid bin Dzakwan] dari [Rubayyi' binti Mu'awwidz bin 'Afra`] dia berkata; Kami pernah ikut perang bersama Nabi shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam, kami bertugas memberi minum kepada pasukan dan membantu menyiapkan keperluan mereka, serta ikut membawa orang-orang yang gugur dan yang terluka ke Madinah."

Imam al-Bukhari dedicated 16 years to compiling Sahih al-Bukhari, selecting approximately 7,275 hadiths from over 600,000 narrations he examined. His strict conditions for accepting a hadith — requiring narrator continuity, reliable memory, and confirmed meeting between narrators — make it the most rigorously authenticated hadith collection in Islamic scholarship.
Imam al-Bukhari would perform ghusl and pray two rak'ahs before recording each hadith. Sahih al-Bukhari is universally regarded as the most authentic book after the Quran.
