حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ يَزِيدَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي الْبَرَاءُ وَهُوَ غَيْرُ كَذُوبٍ قَالَكَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا قَالَ سَمِعَ اللَّهُ لِمَنْ حَمِدَهُ لَمْ يَحْنِ أَحَدٌ مِنَّا ظَهْرَهُ حَتَّى يَقَعَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ سَاجِدًا ثُمَّ نَقَعُ سُجُودًا بَعْدَهُحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ نَحْوَهُ بِهَذَا
English Translation
Telah menceritakan kepada kami [Musaddad] berkata, telah menceritakan kepada kami [Yahya bin Sa'id] dari [Sufyan] berkata, telah menceritakan kepadaku [Abu Ishaq] berkata, telah menceritakan kepadaku ['Abdullah bin Yazid] berkata, telah menceritakan kapadaku [Al Bara'] -dan ia bukanlah pendusta- ia berkata, "Jika Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam mengucapkan 'SAMI'ALLAHU LIMAN HAMIDAH', tidak ada seorangpun dari kami yang membungkukkan punggungnya sebelum Nabi shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam benar-benar (meletakkan kepalanya) bersimpuh dalam sujud, barulah setelah itu kami bersujud." Telah menceritakan kepada kami [Abu Nu'aim] dari [Sufyan] dari [Abu Ishaq] dengan hadits yang seperti ini."

Imam al-Bukhari dedicated 16 years to compiling Sahih al-Bukhari, selecting approximately 7,275 hadiths from over 600,000 narrations he examined. His strict conditions for accepting a hadith — requiring narrator continuity, reliable memory, and confirmed meeting between narrators — make it the most rigorously authenticated hadith collection in Islamic scholarship.
Imam al-Bukhari would perform ghusl and pray two rak'ahs before recording each hadith. Sahih al-Bukhari is universally regarded as the most authentic book after the Quran.
