حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رُمْحٍ الْمِصْرِيُّ أَنْبَأَنَا اللَّيْثُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ عَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَبَعَثَنِي النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِحَاجَةٍ ثُمَّ أَدْرَكْتُهُ وَهُوَ يُصَلِّي فَسَلَّمْتُ عَلَيْهِ فَأَشَارَ إِلَيَّ فَلَمَّا فَرَغَ دَعَانِي فَقَالَ إِنَّكَ سَلَّمْتَ عَلَيَّ آنِفًا وَأَنَا أُصَلِّي
English Translation
Telah menceritakan kepada kami [Muhammad bin Rumh Al Mishri] berkata, telah memberitakan kepada kami [Al Laits bin Sa'd] dari [Abu Zubair] dari [Jabir] ia berkata, "Nabi shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam mengutusku untuk suatu keperluan, kemudian ketika kembali aku mendapati beliau sedang shalat, aku memberi salam kepada beliau, namun beliau hanya memberi isyarat kepadaku. Tatkala selesai, beliau memanggilku dan bersabda: "Kamu memanggilku tadi, aku masih shalat. "

Imam Ibn Majah compiled the last of the six major hadith collections (Kutub al-Sittah). He travelled widely to collect hadiths — through Iraq, Basra, Syria, Egypt, and Arabia. His collection contains unique narrations not found in the other five collections, though scholars note some weaker chains.
Ibn Majah's collection was later added to the Kutub al-Sittah by Imam al-Maqdisi. It contains approximately 4,341 hadiths including narrations unique to this collection.
