حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَلَمَةَ يَحْيَى بْنُ خَلَفٍ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْأَعْلَى عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَقَ عَنْ مَكْحُولٍ عَنْ غُضَيْفِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ عَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ قَالَسَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ إِنَّ اللَّهَ وَضَعَ الْحَقَّ عَلَى لِسَانِ عُمَرَ يَقُولُ بِهِ
English Translation
Telah menceritakan kepada kami [Abu Salamah Yahya bin Khalaf] berkata, telah menceritakan kepada kami [Abdul A'la] dari [Muhammad bin Ishaq] dari [Makhul] dari [Ghudlaif bin Al Harits] dari [Abu Dzar] ia berkata; Aku mendengar Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam bersabda: "Sesungguhnya Allah meletakkan kebenaran pada lisan Umar yang senantiasa dia ucapkan."

Imam Ibn Majah compiled the last of the six major hadith collections (Kutub al-Sittah). He travelled widely to collect hadiths — through Iraq, Basra, Syria, Egypt, and Arabia. His collection contains unique narrations not found in the other five collections, though scholars note some weaker chains.
Ibn Majah's collection was later added to the Kutub al-Sittah by Imam al-Maqdisi. It contains approximately 4,341 hadiths including narrations unique to this collection.
