حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْمَعِيلَ الرَّازِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُوسَى أَنْبَأَنَا الْعَلَاءُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ عَنْ الْمِنْهَالِ عَنْ عَبَّادِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَقَالَ عَلِيٌّ أَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ وَأَخُو رَسُولِهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَأَنَا الصِّدِّيقُ الْأَكْبَرُ لَا يَقُولُهَا بَعْدِي إِلَّا كَذَّابٌ صَلَّيْتُ قَبْلَ النَّاسِ بِسَبْعِ سِنِينَ
English Translation
Telah menceritakan kepada kami [Muhammad bin Isma'il Ar Razi] berkata, telah menceritakan kepada kami [Ubaidullah bin Musa] berkata, telah memberitakan kepada kami ['Ala` bin Shalih] dari [Minhal] dari ['Abbad bin Abdullah] ia berkata; [Ali] berkata; "Aku adalah hamba Allah dan saudara Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam, dan aku adalah Ash Shiddiq Al Akbar, tidak ada yang mengucapkannya setelahku kecuali seorang pendusta. Aku telah menegakkan shalat sebelum orang-orang, selama tujuh tahun."

Imam Ibn Majah compiled the last of the six major hadith collections (Kutub al-Sittah). He travelled widely to collect hadiths — through Iraq, Basra, Syria, Egypt, and Arabia. His collection contains unique narrations not found in the other five collections, though scholars note some weaker chains.
Ibn Majah's collection was later added to the Kutub al-Sittah by Imam al-Maqdisi. It contains approximately 4,341 hadiths including narrations unique to this collection.
